We've already seen that Disney, after acquiring Marvel Entertainment three years ago for roughly the same sum of money it threw at LucasFilm, was ready and willing to transition content over to the small screen. Joss Whedon is developing "S.H.I.E.L.D." for ABC as a result. With the LucasFilm acquisition, might we see long awaited "Star Wars" live action series developed for television? Maybe the world of "Star Wars" animation is due a revamp for The Disney Channel? At the least, Disney CEO Bob Iger says you should expect to see something on Disney XD sooner rather than later. Is ABC next?
