Edgar Wright, Brad Bird, Chris Nolan more
Pro: One of the most acclaimed filmmakers of his generation, Cuaron is no stranger to big Hollywood productions. He helmed "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." He also seems to have a place in his heart for Sci-Fi as evidenced by his classic thriller "Children of Men" and upcoming outer space adventure "Gravity" (the latter which was shot almost completely against green screen). Cuaron also has no qualms of making a film that appeals to kids. Besides "Potter," his first studio film was 1995's "A Little Princess."
Con: Lucas and Disney no doubt respect and possibly adore Cuaron's work, but his style might not be commercial enough for a franchise that cost the studio $4 billion. Could he really rein it in enough for Disney while still putting his creative stamp on the film?
