We'd love to see these collaborations once more, please
Martin Scorsese and Ray Liotta
Previous collaboration: "Goodfellas" (1990)
Why Scorsese should: There are a number of co-collaborators Scorsese could pair up with again and see where it goes, from Nicolas Cage to Jerry Lewis to Ellen Burstyn. But Liotta seemed to speak his language in a unique way, which marked an interesting contrast on screen with actors like Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.
Why Liotta should: He's basically been chasing similar takes on characters in various vehicles ever since, hasn't he? Rather than bide his time in something like "The Iceman," why not get back in the ring with a true artist who pulled out Liotta's best performance to date (and one that really should have received a lot more attention on the awards circuit)?
