'Ghost' (1990)

Interestingly, a Korean remake of "Ghost" hilariously titled "Ghost: In Your Arms Again" was released just last year, but since we're talking about Hollywood reboots here its existence doesn't really count for the purposes of this list. As for the original movie - sure, it's corny as hell in spots and perhaps didn't actually deserve that Best Picture nod at the Academy Awards the following year (look what $500 million in box office can buy!), but it's also a genuinely well-crafted tearjerker suffused with an overriding sincerity that helps the film to transcend its more emotionally-manipulative qualities. And besides, can you imagine any other actors but Patrick and Demi making love in front of that pottery wheel? I mean really, can you?
