'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' (1986)
Why it's so great: John Hughes' best film is still fresh and funny, still relentlessly quotable and still packs a surprising dramatic punch.
Remake-o-meter says: No Matthew Broderick, no "Ferris Bueller." The early '90s TV show starring Jennifer Aniston as Ferris' sister was bad enough - best to let this one lie.
