It's never to late to make the right choice
Sally Hawkins, "Blue Jasmine," for Best Supporting Actress
Lost in all the praise for Cate Blanchett's work in "Blue Jasmine" is the fact Woody Allen's acclaimed drama is hardly a one-woman show. Sally Hawkins' performance as Ginger is the much-needed contrast to her emotionally unstable sister (Blanchett) and the movie simply wouldn't work without her. The HFPA were the first to recognize Hawkins exemplary work and it goes without saying the "Happy-go-Lucky" Brit deserves serious consideration in another tough call for Academy voters.
