Is "Big Bang Theory" making a mistake with a writers-only panel?
Even if "Big Bang Theory" has occasionally been accused of nerdsploitation, there's no denying the affection that Comic-Con crowds have had for the CBS comedy in recent years. Panels have been enthusiastic affairs, full of banter, embarrassing stories and surprisingly adept one-liners from Kaley Cuoco. They've packed Ballroom 20 without any difficulty. In fact, last year they packed Hall H and gave away a trip to space. This year, however, "The Big Bang Theory" is one of the few TV panels to be stepping down a room, going back to Ballroom 20 for what is described as a panel only with the show's writers. Because of a bunch of big panels a bit later, there's no question that even the key grips and boom operators for "Big Bang Theory" would be able to fill the room, but will CBS and WBTV get a smaller bang from this star-free panel?
