Actor: Lena Headey
Best moment in the series so far: Here is where I should put something about one of Cersei's many moments of cunning or her acerbic wit. But to be honest, I think her best scene is from Season One when she and Robert discuss the series of unfortunate events that is their marriage. It's a moment that humanizes her and if the audience cannot empathize with her decisions, at least we can understand why she makes them.
Why she deserves to live: A show is only as good as its villains. Ramsey, the White Walkers, and The Mountain are pure evil which is good for moving the plot. But without Cersei railing against the misogyny that holds her down like a butterfly straining against a collector's pins — even as the most powerful woman in the realm — it would be a far less complex and interesting watch. The best antagonists force the viewer to see some of themselves reflected back in their actions.
