Clarence Clemons, 69
The Big Man. Perhaps the most popular sideman in music history, Clemons, best known as Bruce Springsteen & The E Street’s towering saxophonist (and a recording artist in his own right), and his horn provided the soul for many of Springsteen’s most popular songs including “Jungleland,” “Thunder Road,” and “Badlands.” Clemons died June 18 from complications from a stroke.
