How to fix it: Someone has tried to convince Swank she's a Hollywood leading lady which was never the case. She's a character actress who has found leading roles she fits into. Before she inevitably heads to TV a la Kathy Bates and Kyra Sedgewick, Swank needs to return to her indie roots and start taking some chances. Her last film was the surprising ensemble bomb "New Year's Eve" and she has nothing on her upcoming slate. Oh, and did we mention her bizarre paid appearance at a birthday party for the President of Chechnya - accused of numerous human rights violations - that she blamed on her publicist?
