'The Vampire Diaries': Katherine, Stefan and Damon
Show run: 2009-present
What gives them fangs: As three long-lived vampires who seem able to get out of the ugliest scrapes imaginable, these three are able to live among humans while occasionally giving in to dark, ugly impulses. Sweet-natured Stefan occasionally becomes a killing machine called The Ripper, Katherine’s a scrappy survivor who’ll destroy anyone who gets in her way, and Damon is a bad boy who has let a romance with baby vamp Elena turn him into a marshmallow.
Why they suck: Sometimes they’re too busy mooning over a love interest (or having sex with said love interest) to worry about wreaking havoc on silly humans.
Scariness quotient: 7. When they’re bad, they’re very, very bad. When they’re not so bad, they’re really sexy.
