J.K. Simmons, Edward Norton and more vie for gold.
Alec Baldwin ("Still Alice")
Pros: Baldwin was nominated in 2004 in the Best Supporting Actor category for "The Cooler." He's a three-time Golden Globe and two-time Emmy winner for "30 Rock." He also won a staggering eight SAG Awards for his work on the classic NBC comedy. As Julianne Moore's on-screen husband, he gives one of the most reserved performances of his career in "Still Alice" and is especially effective in the film's third act.
Cons: The film's awards prospects will likely revolve around Moore's incredible performance. Baldwin, like the rest of the cast, truly "supports" her, but that's hardly what this honor means anymore. The 56-year-old actor co-hosted the not-so memorable 2011 Oscars and has had a rough two years in the public spotlight.
