What other new films made the list?
The Duplass Brothers have made a career out of small-scale stories of human fallibility, mining the awkward for gold. Now, with their new film, they have managed to deliver a film that feels exactly like their earlier work, but with the added benefit of movie stars that might actually get a broad audience to check the film out. This story of a dysfunctional mother and her adult son that have to adjust to the presence of a new man in the mother's life gives great roles to Marisa Tomei and John C. Reilly, but it's Jonah Hill who audiences will see in a whole new light after this.
