As Sinead O'Connor ('SNL')
Unfortunately, "Sinéad O'Connor Goodtime Happy Jamboree" and "The Sinéad O'Connor Awards" aren't posted anywhere online as stand-alone sketches, but the Irish chanteuse represented one of Jan Hooks' finest impersonations. While O'Connor's solemn self-seriousness was played for laughs in those sketches, she's mostly a straight-woman in this 1991 sketch, "The Sinatra Group," which functions largely as a showcase for the late Phil Hartman's spectacular Frank Sinatra impression. In the moments Sinatra isn't goading Chris Rock's Luther Campbell or Sting's Billy Idol, this sketch is built on the crackling back and forth between Hooks and Hartman, both gone too soon.
