Best: Indian luger Shiva Keshavan falls off his sled and gets back on mid-run
What exactly does it take to luge? Watching it on television, it seems utterly terrifying, what with the hurtling down a frozen tube at more than 70 miles an hour with naught but a tiny sled beneath you. What happened to Indian luger Shiva Keshavan is even more terrifying however – he fell off his sled during a practice run. While you may think that would put this on our "worst" moments list, it is here on our "best" because while Keshavan fell off his sled mid-run, he also got back on and finished the course. He slowed down when he fell off, but he didn't ever come to a stop. In fact, it is only by looking at his time that you know he slowed at all. Whatever skill it takes to get down the track in one piece aside, having the presence of mind and physical ability to make the recovery Keshavan did is astounding. It is not just a physical exercise, it's a mental one as well.
