Best: Bringing back the five presenters
It wasn't as effective as last year, but producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic bowing to industry opinion to return the five presenters innovation was a good thing. Having "friends" (some of whom really weren't) present to each of the Best Actor and Best Actress winners didn't have the same power as having a legion of actual former recipients hand out the accolades or the cumulative effect of doing it for the Supporting categories as well, but it did lead to some very moving moments. In particular, Oprah Winfrey brought tears to the eyes of Best Actress nominee Gabourey Sibide.
