Who's ready for 'Fargo' vs. 'True Detective'
Best: Welcome to the awards conversation 'Transparent'
SAG Award voters seem to be a year behind on the trends and they left Amazon's "Transparent" out of their nominations on Wednesday, but always eager to be relevant the Golden Globes nominated Jeffrey Tambor for Lead Actor in a Comedy and also gave the Amazon entry a Comedy Series nod. That's a bigger initial embrace than "Orange Is the New Black" got from the HFPA last year when only Taylor Schilling was nominated, though that was miscategorized on the drama side of things. Shifted to comedy this year, "Orange" earned a series nod, a second nomination for Schilling and also continued Uzo Aduba's run of recognition. With "House of Cards" and "Derek" star Ricky Gervais also having good mornings, Netflix earned seven Golden Globe nominations. So really, both streaming giants can be pleased.
