Worst: The E-Waitlist system
One of the worst things that has happened to modern filmgoing is the advent of the cell phone. People have become so addicted to their devices that they don't think twice at the notion of turning one on in a dark movie theater. It was an issue at Toronto's festival last year, and Sundance added a new wrinkle to things with a new E-waitlist system that forced people to turn on their phones in the middle of other films in order to try to secure a spot in the line for their next movie. There were plenty of complaints about the E-waitlist system that had nothing to do with the phones in theaters, but that's the one that affected others and not just the people getting frustrated with their inability to get into the movies they were trying to see.
