Best: Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi Lauper proved that being "so unusual" can be a truly great thing. Lauper won her first Tony Award for Best Original Score for the musical "Kinky Boots" (which also won Best Musical) and the always humble Grammy winner gave an emotional and touching speech. She followed it up with a fantastic performance of her signature song "True Colors" for the show's In Memoriam segment. So many pop stars rise and fall, but Lauper has proved the naysayers who said she was a flash in the pan back in the '80s, very wrong. She's not going anywhere.
