Best: Adele's triumphant return to performing
Sunday's Grammy show was always going to be a grand coronation for Adele's impossibly successful and well-received "21," which surprised nobody with its haul of Grammy wins. The unknowable X factor, though, was how well Adele would actually be able to perform, coming off of her long post-surgery layoff. The answer? Flawlessly. It's hard for a song to be as ubiquitous as "Rolling in the Deep" without some listener fatigue setting in, but the spare arrangement and Adele's powerful pipes made the Grammy-winning track sound revitalized. Now, worries about her Golden Throat set aside, Adele can get down to the rather tough task of following up on "21."
