Plus: Some reasons why the show needs a format change
Worst: Ernest Borgnine's lifetime achievement montage
Poor Ernest Borgnine. The man is 94-years-old and finally receiving a lifetime achievement from his peers, the Screen Actor's Guild, only to be treated to a montage of his life's work that is about as well done as a high school science film. "Not only are we going to praise you Ernest, but we're going to remind the audience of all the more famous people you worked with so they realize just how important you are!" It was almost constructed more like a thesis paper on why Borgnine should win rather than a celebration of his work. Moreover, when it ended with the inappropriate voice over artist saying, "And they don't make them like Ernest Borgnine anymore!" you just started hoping Borgnine couldn't hear it himself.
