There was one reason to sit through the incredibly predictable SAG Awards show Sunday night and it was to find out who would win the best film ensemble honor. Four of the five nominees had something to play for. If "Lincoln" won, DreamWorks would feel better after the PGA loss to "Argo" as the actors (and those in the Academy) were steadfastly behind Steven Spielberg's hit drama.  If "Silver Linings Playbook" won, The Weinstein Company would still believe that "Playbook" was the upset contender for best picture.  If "Les Miserables" won, Universal would believe they had a puncher's shot in the best picture race.  If "Argo" won? Well, along with Saturday night's Producer's Guild triumph it would be a warning shot across the bow of presumed frontrunner "Lincoln" that the best picture Oscar was still up for grabs, best director nomination or no best director nomination.  After Tommy Lee Jones took SAG's best supporting prize earlier in the night it seemed "Lincoln" could seal the deal. Instead, "Argo," which only had one other acting nod in the best supporting actor category for Alan Arkin, shocked the audience by winning.  Affleck and his co-stars were just as surprised as the audience. Is it destiny or is it "Apollo 13"? "Argo's" definitely in the middle of a tight race, that's for sure.
