Worst: Reductive score
Joseph Trapanese has earned some will deserved kudos for his score for "Oblivion," but his work on "Insurgent" was shockingly similar to another film he worked on, "Tron: Legacy." Trapanese was credited as "music arranger" on that film with a "Music by" credit going to Daft Punk. There are moments in "Insurgent," however, when you can hear almost the same, deep chello rifs that were a key part of the "Legacy" score. We won't say it was intentional (composers such as James Horner have often ripped themselves off over the years), but it certainly was eye-brow raising for someone trying to make his mark in the field.
