Best: "The Avengers" rock star debut
There may have been boos directed at Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige after a fan asked why Ed Norton has been dropped as Bruce Banner from the upcoming "The Avengers" movie, but those frowns turned upside down when the long rumored debut of Earth's Mightiest Heroes occurred on the Hall H stage. With the energy of a rock concert, the intros conducted by Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man) resulted in a long standing ovation as Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America) and Scarlett Johansson (The Black Widow) took the stage alongside newcomers Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (the new Banner, aka Hulk) and director Joss Whedon. Now that ladies and gents, is a photo opp for the ages and boy is this writer glad I'm able to say I waited around all day to see it.
