Why: This terrible movie based on a terrible Dean R. Koontz novel features a terrible Ben Affleck performance that would have been entirely forgotten at this point if not for the infamous "You were the bomb in 'Phantoms,' yo!" line from "Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back." You can almost see Affleck crawl out of his skin when that line is delivered, and it's easy to guess why. This was from that era where the Weinsteins had decided Affleck was their all-purpose movie star, no matter if he was appropriate for the part or not. Spoiler warning for this film: he was not.
