Best: "Chasing Amy"
Why: I tend to find Affleck wooden as an actor - I actually thought his performance in "Argo" was one of the film's weakest elements - but his turn in the final installment of Kevin Smith's "New Jersey Trilogy" hits some really honest notes and stands as perhaps his finest early screen appearance. The scene where he communicates his longing to Alyssa in the car is the centerpiece emotional moment in the film, and he really nails it.
