It's cool if Sony wants to find a way to wedge a few extra villains into a Spider-Man movie beyond the main one. Heck, the James Bond structure seems like a great one for these superhero films. Why not take a slightly less-fleshed-out bad guy and feature them in an opening sequence before moving on? But if you're going to do that, try not to built a good chunk of your ad campaign around that character, because there are few things more annoying than realizing that you've seen 9/10ths of someone's performance in the trailers, especially when it's an actor as great as Paul Giamatti who's being sidelined.
