Worst: Bridgestone Tires - Performance Basketball and Football Tires
Bridgestone had already spent a bundle to sponsor this year's half-time show, but pulled out all the stops with two spots during the game which were head-scratchingly lame. Trying to sell the physical benefits of its tires, the company introduces their tire footballs and baseballs in two different ads. The budget must have gotten tight because the football players are retirees Troy Aikman and Dion Sanders and the basketball players are almost retired Steve Nash and Tim Duncan. The premise is so out there you can't even remember what makes Bridgetone tires special. Unless you're looking for generic branding that's bad marketing.
