Best: Robert Redford isn't just a cameo
Usually when any action movie has a legit actor show up, it's for a brief, usually meaningless appearance so that an impressive name can be plopped on the poster. In this case, Robert Redford does more than show up -- he plays a character integral to the plot who ultimately plays against Redford's good guy (and sometimes bad guy with a heart of gold) image. It's a move that makes his casting seem less like a power play and more like a savvy move. For audiences too young to have seen "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" or "The Way We Were" and who just think of him as the guy who started the Sundance Film Festival, it's an education. For those familiar with Redford, it's just the kind of meaty, nuanced role (with a strong political message, natch) he'd take, even if it does involve lots of superheroes and stuff blowing up.
