Who should direct: Well, Lexi ("Punisher: War Zone") Alexander just nominated Jane Goldman for the job on Twitter, and that sounds pretty good to us.
Biggest question: Are they willing to finally make a real 'Wonder Woman' movie? One of the ways DC can force Marvel into a reactive position with their own slate of films is to steer head-on into the very worthwhile conversation that's happening now about diversity and representation in pop culture. Looking at who they're casting and which characters are being pushed to the foreground, they're doing things that Marvel simply hasn't so far, including building an entire film around one of their female heroes. They're doing as much as they can to set her up before this film comes out, and depending on which order Warner releases the films in, audiences will have already seen her at least once but maybe twice by the time they sit down for this, which will give her time to grow into the character before she has to carry a movie by herself. The only real obstacle I see is DC itself. They have had their hands on so many good "Wonder Woman" scripts over the years, and it seems like they always get freaked out by the mythology and the reality of the world, so here's hoping they're ready to finally just give it a try.
