Interview: Casey James of 'American Idol'
Q [Not mine]: Do you feel the pressure of becoming a heartthrob?
CJ: No. I've heard a lot about that tonight, for the first time really, because I don't get on the Internet and I don't watch the TV, so it's not even a reality for me. I'm just the same dude that I've always been. It's kind of embarrassing in a way, I guess, but I'm flattered. Very flattered.
HitFix: That first week you performed and everybody was joking with Kara right in the middle of your performance. Did part of you want to stop and tell them to shut up and let you sing?
CJ: You know what? That made me feel at home. I'm so used to playing in places where things are happening around me. Really. People getting in fights and whatnot. So it really kinda took some of the pressure off. That was cool. If they want to do some handstands over there on the judges' table while I'm playing, I'm totally cool with it.
HitFix: Do you have a dream theme?
HitFix: Any nightmare theme?
CJ: There's nothing that I would mind doing. I've literally played in every kind of band you can possibly imagine. Literally. There's nothing that I would be upset about. I'd love it all.
