Poor Haley. She came up just short of making the Finale. Then, with Lauren Alaina sick, she may or may not have nearly snuck her way onto the stage on Tuesday night against Scotty. And all season long, the judges found it hard to wrap their heads around the kind of singer Haley is. Well, if "House of the Rising Son" and "I Who Have Nothing" didn't do it, Haley's jazzy duet with Tony Bennett should erase all doubt. She may never sell millions, but she's good at what she does and she seemed so genuinely humbled and proud to be singing with the 85-year-old legend, who wasn't bad himself. And yes, I just like Haley, darnit.
