'American Idol' Finale Winner: Scotty McCreery against Lauren Alaina
After 125 minutes, that's what "Idol" was actually all about tonight, the Scotty vs. Lauren showdown. And through those full 125 minutes, you'll notice that Ryan Seacrest never once even pretended that the votes -- either then 750 million cast through the season or the 122 million cast on Tuesday night -- were close. "Idol" doesn't reveal vote totals, so we'll never know the statistics, but I think it's fair to assume that even if Lauren Alaina had Tuesday's most emotional performance, Scotty McCreery won the "Idol" crown in dominant fashion.
