Kanye West, “808s & Heartbreak†(Roc-A-Fella/IDJ)
Until he crashed Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at MTV’s Video Music Awards, West was a shoe-in for album of the year: all three of his previous studio releases have gotten a nod. West has always been respected more than he’s been liked, but after his VMA stunt, he’s going to find himself blackballed for his bad behavior—at least temporarily.
