Why we want to see this: Over the past five years, we've heard a lot of opinions about Jay Leno but very few of his insights about the mania of "The Tonight Show" and his replacement(s) in actual interviews. More importantly, Jay doesn't seem to have taken very many fan questions in the past decade. Now that he's not quarreling with potential successors, it might be safe to join in the conversation online.
Actual likelihood they'd do an AMA: 70%. He's not as busy these days, but he's probably aware that the internet is one giant Jay Leno-pillorying machine.
Likelihood it's actually them answering: 95%. He gives tons and tons of interviews when he's out on the road. He's certainly not afraid to speak for himself.
Sample Redditor question: "Who are you more likely to watch -- Jimmy Fallon or Stephen Colbert?"
Sample answer: "These days I enjoy going to sleep early."
Reason for ingratiating themselves to an AMA: This might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually think Jay Leno is probably an affable, friendly person. I don't think he's afraid of backlash and has probably already seen the worst of it. He considers himself a huge comedy fan, and he'd probably dig getting to chat with likeminded Redditors.
Who they should bring with them on their AMA: Just himself.
