On TV, Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere's "Nashville" characters are bickering rivals, but the Hollywood Foreign Press couldn't bring itself to pit the two country divas against each other. So there's Britton in the Lead Actress, Drama category -- We feel like reminding you that the HFPA never felt like nominating Britton for "Friday Night Lights" -- while Panettiere has been shuffled off to a supporting field in which she'll finally get to live out her aspiration of having a catfight with Maggie Smith. "Nashville" is the only new network drama to get any Globes recognition, so that's notable as well.
