Loser: Robert De Niro
Say what? Robert De Niro didn't make the Globes' best supporting actor cut for his great work in "Silver Linings Playbook"? De Niro's loss was the Weinstein Company's gain as both "Django's" Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz made the cut, but you have to believe they would have preferred just DiCaprio and De Niro if knew they were only going to get two of the slots in the category. It also has to be somewhat embarrassing for the HFPA after De Niro earned the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime honor from the org just two years ago. Thankfully, he earned an expected SAG Awards nod in the same category yesterday to keep his expected Oscar return on track.
