The five-year-old CBS film division landed its first major awards recognition after "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" earned three nods including motion picture - comedy or musical best actor (Ewan McGregor) and best actress (Emily Blunt). Many observers - including this one - thought their Toronto Film Festival comedy "Seven Psychopaths" would appeal more to the HFPA, but the globes went 'Fishing' instead. For CBS Films? The recognition is the First step in what may be an increasingly awards-friendly slate over the next few years.
