Rarities, b-sides, limited runs, live sets,r vinyl-only, colored LPs, boxed sets... these are the currency of Record Store Day, now in its fourth year. In order to support local and small music retailers, artists and labels sift through the vaults or dust off their equipment to make unique physical releases for shops.
Dozens and dozens have joined the crop this year, including Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon, Joan Jett, the Nirvana handlers at Universal, Deftones, Adele, The Rolling Stones and many more.
