Why: Photographer and music video director Anton Corbijn caused quite the stir when he unleashed Ian Curtis biopic "Control" in 2007 and offered a relatively hushed follow-up in the George Clooney starrer "The American" three years later. He'll be back this season with this John le Carré adaptation focused on the war on terror and the air of paranoia in a post-9/11 world. Corbijn hasn't quite found his stride in the season yet, but material this rich, and a willing distributor, can change that in a hurry.
