'Out Of Sight' and 'Jackie Brown'
One of the special pleasures of watching these two films, both adapted from the work of Elmore Leonard, was the unexpected way they linked up, confirming that they were both part of the same narrative world. I would have loved to have seen a Ray Nicolette film, and not just because it would have given us another starring role for Michael Keaton. Leonard's work is tricky to get right on film, and here are the two best examples of it, and connected, no less. Why wouldn't we want more of that?
