10. The End of the Tour
Director: James Ponsoldt
Stars you'd recognize: Jason Segal, Jesse Eisenberg, Anna Chlumsky, Mamie Gummer
Why it could pop: After "Smashed" and "The Spectacular Now," Ponsoldt is on the verge of a breakthrough and this adaptation of David Lipsky's memoir about five days he spent with David Foster Wallace after the publication of "Infinite Jest" seems like it could mesh well with the director's sensibilities. Generally likable and funny, Jason Segal has never had a role that stretched him as much as this presumably should. - Daniel Fienberg
