January 2, 2012 at 3:47PM EST Reply to CommentI enjoy Hitfix's TV and movie coverage, having followed Sepinwall from the NJ Star-Ledger. I didn't even realize you had music coverage, and now I wish I hadn't realized it. Madonna? Usher? Metallica?
REALLY?
Seriously?
Ugh. Even in the mostly-creatively-bankrupt world of top-40 music, Madonna has been washed up for years, and has done nothing worth noting. Same for Metallica.
One of these sections is not like the others!
Oh well, I guess you are going for things you think will get you copious page hits....
katie, a princess "Madonna... has done nothing worth noting. Same for Metallica."
January 3, 2012 at 11:57AM ESTThat's a pretty unsupportable position.
IKE1....Maybe you should get some facts on Madonna before posting some dumb a** post...The Sticky & Sweet Tour broke many records in terms of its ticket sales, commercial gross and audience attendance. After the first leg, it became the highest grossing tour by a solo artist, earning $282 million, breaking the previous record Madonna herself held with her Confessions Tour. Overall, Madonna performed to over 3.5 million fans in 32 countries, grossing a total of US$408 million, making it also the fourth highest grossing tour of all time, only behind U2's U2 360° Tour, AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour and The Rolling Stones's A Bigger Bang Tour. It still remains the highest grossing tour by a solo artist.

January 2, 2012 at 4:00PM EST Reply to CommentHow did Brandy not make this list? Why would we be anticipating albums from people who just had an album out like last year.

January 6, 2012 at 2:20PM EST Reply to CommentThe fact that they made no mention of Rush's Clockwork Angels release just shows the author has no real knowledge of the music industry.

January 7, 2012 at 6:03PM EST Reply to CommentThe fact that you categorize Muse as Twilight vets is infuriating. They were a leading band in Europe before Twilight was even a book.
Drumslinger I agree. Matt Bellamy is a musical genius and to see them live is something to behold.

January 22, 2012 at 5:24PM EST Reply to CommentSo wrong that Tool, arguably one of the most original and talented active bands in the world, gets little more than a cursory mention while Bieber and Usher get full pages. Granted, they've been teasing us about a new album since 2009. Going to see them in Atlanta Feb. 8. A show which is strangely absent from the Hitfix calendar.
