Expect to hear a lot from Taylor Swift in 2012. In addition to a new album, for which she told Ryan Seacrest that she has already penned 25 tunes, Swift fans have heard her contribution to “The Hunger Games” soundtrack: “Safe and Sound,” a collaboration with The Civil Wars, zoomed to the top of the iTunes chart shortly after its release. Joining them on the T Bone Burnett-produced compilation will be The Decemberists, Arcade Fire and more. “The Hunger Games” soundtrack will come out shortly before the movie’s March 23 release. There is no word yet on the arrival date for Swift’s fourth studio album, but she tends to like a fall release.
