Adele, “21†(out Feb. 22)
Best new artist Grammy winner Adele returns with her sophomore effort, “21,” which, like “19,” signifies her age when she wrote the album. If rollicking first single, “Rolling in the Deep” is any indication, she’s still caught in love’s throes and passions, but this time, she’s even more soulful about it. Recorded in Malibu and London with producers like Rick Rubin, Ryan Tedder and Dan Wilson, the album also shows the influences from country artists Adele recently discovered ranging from the legendary Wanda Jackson to Alison Krauss and Lady Antebellum.
