Lowdown: As with the Comedy Actor category, I think three slots here are locked down and, realistically, with two straight nods Zooey Deschanel may be a lock as well. However, if I call her a lock, then nobody new breaks into this category and what's the fun in that? Laura Dern, after all, already has a Golden Globe for "Enlightened" and she was just as good in the second season, so if anybody's bumping Deschanel out, it's probably gonna be her. But maybe CBS makes a big push for Anna Faris or Sarah Michelle Gellar, who both fit the model for Globe favorites. Or maybe Globe voters realize that Melissa McCarthy is a movie star, even if they've neglected her in the past. Or maybe Globe voters will remember Lea Michele's heartbreaking work in the Cory Monteith tribute episode of "Glee." Or maybe Edie Falco bounces back into a field in which she'd been a regular for years. Who knows?
