Lowdown: Which is better, Miguel Cabrera or a harpsichord? Which do you prefer, Chipotle or "The Shawshank Redemption"? I love these Golden Globe categories in which someone is supposed to compare what Anna Gunn is doing as the female lead on the best drama on TV to what Jessica Walter did in a supporting role in basically one episode of "Arrested Development." I feel confident in the top two "probables" and I assume that Kathy Bates gets nominated for everything, but from there? Who knows! Anna Gunn and Merritt Wever both won Emmys this fall, but neither has been nominated for a Golden Globe in the past, so who knows? This category is, after all, culled from five categories worth of Emmy nominees and it's beholden to the particularities of Golden Globe voters, so just because Hayden Panettiere earned the "Hot Young Thang" slot here last year doesn't mean that she won't be replaced with somebody like Kate Mara or Emilia Clarke. Holly Hunter is a Golden Globe favorite, but will enough people have seen "Top of the Lake"? Will Roma Downey somehow be able to schmooze and pray her way into a nomination for "The Bible"? And how could anybody choose just one or two co-stars from "Orange Is The New Black"? Will Laura Prepon score a default nomination for being the cast's most familiar face?
