Gregory Ellwood, Guy Lodge and Kristopher Tapley predict: "Philomena"
Lowdown: Why not "Gravity," the film that leads all nominees in the BAFTA race, and looks set to take multiple wins? Honestly, while BAFTA deemed it British, many others were less convinced, and there's been a lot of grumbling about it in the industry that would intensify if it won. It's not unusual for a heavyweight Best Film nominee to lose this award -- "Les Miserables" was beaten by "Skyfall" last year -- so look for the warm, fuzzy and indisputably British "Philomena" (which has been a UK box office smash) to take its big win of the night.
