Which original scripts and adaptations will reap Oscar glory this year?
'The Impossible' - Sergio G. Sanchez - Original Screenplay
Pro: Sergio Sanchez does a superb job in compiling a remarkable true story that is likely more authentic than some of the other "based on a true story" contenders this year. If "Impossible" is embraced by the Academy, it has an excellent shot to get in.
Con: Many are seeing the film as a showcase for director Juan Antonio Bayona's incredible talent, but Summit needs to make sure Sanchez gets the credit he deserves as well.
