Pro: Everybody loved her supporting work in the 2007 comedy smash “Knocked Up,” in which she stole scene after scene from the film's putative famele lead Katherine Heigl – so much so that many thought she deserved a Best Supporting Actress nomination. (The Chicago critics were the only awards voters to take notice.) Five years later, the same character has been given a larger showcase in Judd Apatow's upcoming semi-sequel: it's a likelier Globes play, but if she delights once more and the film starts burning up the box office just around Christmas...
Con: It's still a Judd Apatow movie, and the Academy has never warmed to his brand of broad comedy. Plus, nobody's ever been nominated for reprising a character when they didn't get recognized the first time round.
